So much laughter.

The Colonnade Room at the Omni at Bedford Springs Resort roared with laughs as Jordan’s brother-in-law toasted the happy couple.

Most of that laughter was coming from the head table itself…a table made up of Melanie and Jordan’s closest friends, most of whom weren’t in the bridal party.

Let me tell you–this table was HUGE. It ran the width of the whole room, with maybe 20ish couples surrounding them. This is cool people. Take notes.

The day was much warmer than anticipated (like, almost 90 degrees for an end-of-September day!).

But Melanie barely broke a sweat in that gorgeous Maggie Sottero gown of hers, and Jordan was in awe (tears included) of his perfect bride.

They were married in their home church in the small town of Saxton, PA, then it was back to the Omni for the party.

Melanie’s mom, Penny, of Country Blossoms Flowers knocked it out of the park with her floral designs.

The Colonnade Room came alive with those beautiful bouquets, garlands, candlelight, and accompanying music by DJ Cashous (AJ Southerland) of Mint DJ Events.

Melanie and Jordan, your wedding day was perfect. You have so much love for your family and friends, and it’s obvious they care deeply for you too.

I believe the word “excellence” was used in the speeches to describe you…maybe within a movie quote you once (at a very young age) used to describe yourself Jordan. LOL. 😉

This word in your lives seems to ring very true! So that’s our word for you. Our prayer is that excellence pervades your lives together, without the stress of perfection.

We pray that together you will be excellent listeners, excellent conversationalists, excellent apologizers, forgivers, grace-givers, and excellent stewards of this marriage God has entrusted you with.

Because excellence is not perfection.

It is simply the antithesis of mediocrity. You aren’t mediocre people, and it’s obvious the two of you do ZERO things halfway. So strive for an excellent marriage, and you’ll find that interestingly enough, striving for an excellent marriage is quite humbling. We believe in you!
