A few raindrops fell lightly as Kutty and Chelsey smiled their way back down the aisle after a beautiful ceremony. Phew! They made it, and the skies only held well-wishes for the newlyweds. 

The morning had been full of deep breaths, some sweet tears, and ever so many smiles. The clouds threatened but never came through on the promise of rain. The day was left to be filled up with more important things, like tears in dad’s eyes as he walked through the french doors to see his beautiful daughter ready to meet her groom. The wine Kutty and Chelsey poured into a carafe together, symbolizing their unity as a married couple. And the music that filled the pavilion during their reception–a special song for Chelsey’s grandfather who had passed, but who was most certainly present in the hearts of those who loved him.

As the skies finally opened up Saturday evening, the celebration only grew. Children danced in the rain, which served to convince some of the adults that today gave them permission to remember they were once children too. Sparklers still lit up the dim evening air, and all was perfect.

Kutty and Chelsey, it is with the utmost gratitude that we say, “thank you.” We were blessed to be part of such a beautiful, special day for the two of you. Each and every detail was perfect, and this because each special touch was all YOU. It was apparent to all that you put your hearts into this day (especially you Chelsey!), and you made careful, selective decisions for those who got to be part of it. We are honored. May your love be everlasting, steadfast, and true. The kind of love that perseveres when it seems empty, the kind of love that hopes when hope seems lost, and the kind of love that sees life to the very end. Choose that love.

You might have already guessed it, but that’s a Jesus kind of love. Choose it every day (every hour if you have to), and you’ll never fail.
